Six (6) simple steps

1. Please do not sign up on the homepage; the sign up option on the homepage is for fundraisers. Donors get the option to create their login password after a donation. The create password popup comes up after closing your donation receipt. Tap on the link above to return to Giveyourbit, or open www.giveyourbit.com on your browser, tap on 'Explore Fundraisers'. and scroll to any fundraiser with days left.

2. On the fundraiser page, tap on the red 'Donate now' button and make a donation by first completing and submitting the form. This gets you on the reward list for the month

3. After you donate and close the receipt, a box will pop up for you to create your password.

4. After creating your password, go to your email to activate your account.

5. Then tap on explore fundraisers again and begin to carry out actions like, send a hug, share on social media, become a supporter, open case updates videos and documents if they are available on the page, post Facebook comments etc.The more you take these actions, including donation on multiple fundraiser pages, the more points you earn.

6. Log into your donor account to get your referral code; you would need to get more than one person to use your code to make a donation if you must win the reward. You can also see all the actions you have taken recorded in your account if you wish to monitor your actions. Note that your referral code earns you significant points everytime it used.

The more points you earn, the higher your chances of grabbing the reward for the month. The winner gets a WhatsApp message on the last day of the month and gets the reward money after fulfiling a few requirements.

Giveyourbit rewards donors every month for their acts of kindness by supporting people in need on its website. Visit any fundraiser on Giveyourbit and make a donation and you would be included in the reward list for the month. You are automatically logged into your temporary account and given an option to create your password once you have completed your first donation. Afterwards, every action you take on fundraiser pages will earn you points which you can monitor from your account when you log in. The donor with the highest number of points from actions taken on fundraiser pages gets the reward for the month. Tap on the star above to see the reward for this month.

Note that the journey to grabbing the reward for the month starts with a donation. However, the actions that can be done on fundraiser pages to earn you points include; donate now, send a hug, social media share, Facebook comment, become a supporter, view case updates, embed fundraiser on a website or blog, and from your dashboard i.e. invite a friend. Each of these actions have a unique number of points that a donor earns every time the action is taken. The donor with the highest cumulative sum of points is updated to the top of the donor list. The donor that tops the list on the last day of the month gets the top donor reward for the month.

A donation is what makes one a donor, so if a person has not made a donation within a given month, the person will not make the donor list in that month, in spite of any other actions done on fundraiser pages. If only one donor is receiving the reward for the month, there would be no tie if two top donors have the same number of points; the one that first achieved the points remains top most on the list.

You also earn significant points by referring donors to support fundraisers. Once someone visits a fundraiser page to make a donation, and enters your referral code, you earn significant points. And afterwards, any time they make a donation to any fundraiser, you also earn significant points (You can get your referral code from the reward section of your dashboard, when you log into your account). Every tap; every completed action, repeated action or actions in multiple fundraisers earn you points. Note that some of these actions offer higher points than others, and always remember to log into your account before carrying out any activities on the site, so that your actions can earn points to your name, and give you a chance to grab the reward for the month.

Most of your actions are recorded in the reward section of your dashboard in real-time, so you can monitor the activities that earn you points, but please note that the number of Facebook comments you make on fundraiser pages, may not reflect in your dashboard in real-time, but they will certainly reflect in due time and would be accumulated with the total points you earn. 

The monthly donor list is controlled by a special algorithm, and your name can only make the list for the month when you make a donation; irrespective of the amount you donate. Afterwards, every action you take, including donations to multiple fundraiser pages accrue additional points to your name. The special algorithm constantly updates the list; moving the donors with the highest cumulative points to the top of the list. The name that make the top of the list at the end of the month gets the Top Donor Reward for the month.

The Top Donor is contacted via a recorded phone call and a reward certificate is dispatched to the donor. Once the terms and conditions are met, the donor is handed a cheque or receives a credit in his account; depending on the preferred option, if the reward happens to be cash.
