We hear every day that someone is SS and we simply feel sorry for them, and thank God that we are not them. We do not exactly grasp what it really means for those we refer to as SS. And indeed we are favoured and must be grateful that we are not one. However, if you can grasp what they go through everyday, simply feeling sorry for them would be nothing compared to what you would feel. The constant pain, the depletion of finances just to keep them alive and comfortable, the fear of a hopeless future... are just a few of what the situation truly is. Having an SS child can make a family broke for the necessary expenses they make to keep the child alive. These children and families need support to get by everyday. The cost of drugs, surgeries, blood transfusions are endless. It is our duty as citizens of a common world to stand up for these warriors and their families. This would make the burden on them a lot lighter and give them hope for tomorrow. I am also a warrior who has been through a whole lot. Sometimes for months I am bed ridden; sometimes I can't even talk for weeks. Life has been hellish, but God has been faithful. I am setting up this fundraiser through the foundation I founded because of what I have been through; to help make it easier for children that suffer what I suffer. And I would be glad if people rise up and give support to these warrior children who go through unimaginable pain daily and their families suffer depleted finances just to keep them alive.
