I, Akala Modupe had Aisha 25/04/2016, 7 years ago. After two weeks of her birth, she had fever and was taken to the hospital where I got the shocking news of her having a congenital heart disease ( Tetralogy of Fallot and VSD) which requires a open heart surgery. We, myself and her dad has tried all out best to raise the money for the surgery but we were unable to. We wrote letters to the Lagos state government,(Alausa) some individuals but all proved abortive. This year, Aisha came back from school on the 15th of Feb and she complained of headache,we took her to the general hospital on the 18th of the same month cause she couldn't lift the left part of her body( partial stroke), We were then referred to Lagos Teaching Hospital (LUTH)idi_araba were she was admitted and diagnosed to have a brain abscess (after doing a brain imaging )which required a brain surgery. We rallied round and got the brain surgery done after she has gotten blood transfusion twice. Now, Aisha's open heart surgery is a matter of urgency cause it was the actual cause of the brain abscess due to inefficient flow of blood in the brain. Aisha is a very bright girl aiming to become a medical doctor in the nearest future. We do not want this lovely dream go down. We went back to LUTH on Tuesday, 13th Feb,just for her check up and was told she needs blood, again she was transfused. This will keep re occuring if the surgery is not done on time if not immediately. Please in God's name help Aisha live and also live a normal life.
