Please save our 4year old daughter (Case No. 311) Copy Link

We am writing to you with a heavy heart and an urgent plea for help. Our beloved 4 Year old Daughter OLORUNFEMI MORAYO a cherished member of our family, has been diagnosed with APLASTIC ANAEMIA, a rare and life-threatening condition that affects the production of vital blood cells. To give our daughter a fighting chance for a healthy future, a bone marrow transplant is essential. However, the cost of this life-saving procedure is significant, and we are humbly reaching out to you for assistance. The funds will be used to perform a bone marrow transplant in India.
She has been facing a challenging situation, as she has been on blood transfusion since the month of March 2023. She was diagnosed of Aplastic Anaemia after a bone marrow aspirate was done at the Specialist Hospital Gwagwalada Abuja. She has undergone transfusions in Luth and private hospitals in Lagos

APLASTIC ANAEMIA is a condition that can strike anyone, regardless of age or background. It occurs when the bone marrow fails to produce enough red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets, leaving the individual vulnerable to severe infections, uncontrollable bleeding, and overwhelming fatigue. Her journey has been marked by countless doctor visits, extensive medical treatments and transfusions.

As you can imagine, the cost of a bone marrow transplant is staggering. Beyond the procedure itself, numerous expenses need to be covered, including pre-transplant tests, hospital stays, post-transplant medications, and ongoing medical care.

Esther was at the hospital for a platelets transfusion. I have actually lost count of how many platelets she has gotten. I noticed lumps of blood on her tongue, inside her mouth, her gum and reddish patch on her skin. She was rushed to the emergency unit and sent to the ICU immediately. To check if she wasn’t having any internal bleeding, fatigue or go into shock. These are the risks; she could sleep and not wake up again, God forbid.

Our daughter Esther has Aplastic Anaemia and the bone marrow transplant she needs cost a whole lot and is not something I and my family can afford by ourselves. Esther is so precious to us and we cannot imagine living our lives without her. The breakdown of costs is in the attached document. Keeping her alive requires her to have repeated blood transfusions. Most times, we see blood on her pillow when she wakes up, which comes from her mouth as a result of the symptom.
